Creature Creature

Creature Creature was conceptualized by Morrie and began as a creative collective. Morrie, the charismatic vocalist and co-founder of the legendary band, DEAD END, made a serious impact on the Japanese rock scene. His vocal style influenced musically and esthetically many bands and singers. On Creature Creature's release Light & Lust, Morrie collaborated with Minoru (The Spin, ex-Mad Capsule Markets, guitar) and tetsu (L'Arc-en Ciel, bass) resulting in power driven songwriting. In a surprise unannounced performance, the first unveiling of Creature Creature was at Nippon Budokan in 2005. The 2006 live show at Shibuya-Ax included Minoru, Hiro (Libraian, ex-La'cryma Christi, guitar), Fire (bass) and Shinya (ex-Luna Sea, drums).

In the Summer and Fall of 2009 a different creature emerged. Additional monstrous songs were written and Morrie brought together members Hiro (Libraian, ex-La'cryma Christi, guitar), Shinobu (ex-Guy's Family, guitar), Hitoki (Robo+s, Dummy's Corporation, ex-Kuroyume, bass) and Sakura (S.O.A.P., ex-L'Arc-en-Ciel, ex-Zigzo, drums) for the sold out "Simone and the Wrath" series.

After a period of prolonged silence, the band made a glorious comeback with the "Simone and the Wrath" ("Simone to Gekirin") live series, in Tokyo, Osaka and Kobe. Currently preparing for Shangai, China where they will be performing on the 23^rd and 24^th of December, 2009. Also, for the lucky ones who will be in Japan for New Year’s, Creature Creature will be performing at Omiya, Saitama, along with D’espairsRay, and Nightmare on the 29^th of December, 2009 Beat Shuffle Live Side 2009 -D.N.A- !

Creature Creature, with such a long and intense past and musical magnitude, are the perfect rock injection. Certainly one of the most up and coming bands, having several aces under their sleeve, yet to be revealed in the near future.
